Cody Turns the BIG 13!!

So, my baby isn't a baby anymore, he is now officially a teenager! And what better way to celebrate than play football at night, in the mud at that. Thanks to Fay, we got a little bit of rain, fortunately not as much as poor FL but enough to make it nice and slippery outside :) Besides dirt never hurt anyone anyway!!

Yeah, Jimmy got a little muddy, to say the least. It was fun though, they were all laughing, even though they were all banged and bruised up! Of course I had more fun watching!!

And of course we didn't do cake and ice cream til after 10 because they all had to get showers!!
So there you have it, my baby is 13 :)

First Day of School

awwwwwwe, Aug 6th. Such a greeeeeeeat day for me! First day of school!!
Cody started Middle School this year. He hated the thought of having to wear uniforms but I'm allllll for them! I think they're great. First, it makes school shopping for him that much easier, although it was really hard find the polos he needed but it also makes the kids equal, in my opinion. He told me the other day that he actually liked the uniforms so yay :)
I can't believe this turkey butt is going to be THIRTEEN on Saturday!! Where does the time go??? He weighs 131lbs, that's only 9lbs less than I weighed when I got pregnant with him...YIKES!!! But there is no way I'm telling you what I weigh now =/

Jacob started 6th grade this year and has the same teacher he had last year. I really like his teacher, he's funny :) He's a retired Army Meddac and is always sharing stories with the kids. Last year Jacob came home and told me his teacher has ADD and I told him that wasn't nice to tell stories. He said, it's true mom, he told us. So I asked him about it and he said, yeah I told the kids that, wanted to share that with them....lol....and of course the stories of his er days and kids not wearing helmets is always a big hit :)
Leave it to Jacob to wear a Guns n Roses shirt his first day of school...hahahhahahaha

and of course, little Miss Hannah! She started 2nd grade this year and is 7 going on 15! She is wearing her new outfit that Nana bought her ;) Cutest little black shoes with pink hearts and lightning bolts. Can we just say, Old Navy rocks??

this is my update :)

Well I guess it's been a long time since November :)
soooooooooo, I don't even know where to begin so maybe I'll just begin from here, lol, good start, eh?
Chris came home from Iraq in March. In May we went to Gatlinburg, TN for a 2nd honeymoon. That's where we went 15 years ago for our original honeymoon. We had a blast. 5 days in a cabin, all to ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurselves!! Granted on the 2nd day there we were missing the kids, terribly, and even toyed with the idea of having Sandy meet us in Chattanooga but that thought was gone almost instantly :) Can't believe I'm posting this horrid pic of myself but whatever, lol.

Finally a chair big enough for me :) hahahaha

Yeah, this chair pretty much rocked!!

Hard to believe that 15 years ago we said I do, when so many people didn't think we'd make it past our 1 year anniversary!
We were soooooo young then, and so immature, but one thing we did discover...our love was real and withstood many tests of times. We both know we're stuck with each other forever and we're more than happy with that :)

so let's see, Fee came to visit the end of July/beginning of Aug. We had a loooooot of fun!! The kids had a great time together, as always, and we were even asked if Cody & Katie were twins. Of course we realized we had to stop calling them "future wife" and "future husband" and start calling them "twins". Once we stopped and really looked at the two of them, we saw it, odddd! Of course I can't find a pic of them but I think Fee has one on her blog. Of course no visit would be complete without this:

Wow, tomorrow's Thanksgiving already

Where has this year gone?? that's ok, the quicker this year goes by the quicker my baby comes home :)
R&R was great, spent 5 days in Florida and spent more money than we really needed to but we all had a great time and that's all that matters, right? Here are just some random pictures, yeah, we are ALL so special...

Yeah, short update but HEY, I updated :)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

HOLY SCHNICKIES....

...has it been THIS long since I updated this thing? Wow, I suck...
There is noooooooo way I'll ever get caught up from February so I'll do my best...

This deployment has been totally different for me(us). Last deployment I was a hermit, this deployment I just try and keep busy the best we can...unfortunately though I had to put up with some stupid drama and totally lost my passion for scrapping but I'm hoping after getting my scraproom all nice and organized the passion will come back...I am actually getting an itch for it again...YAY ME!!!

Chris is home for his r&r, but these 18 days are going by waaaaaaaaay tooooooo fast :(

Wow, I don't even know where to begin...

For Spring Break we went to visit the in-laws. Chris's grandma got really sick again and her lung cancer spread to her colon, which they said was VERY unusual. I think she's doing really well considering she just turned 90 last month.

Jacob turned 10, Hannah turned 6 and Cody turned 12

July was a fun month....of course, the 4th and I also went to Chicago for a VERY much needed break :)

On Fort Stewart they had an Extreme Sports Demo...it was pretty cool...this is Insane Kane Friesen

and here's some of the others

Then of course I went to Chi Town and hung out with Fee and Gang for a few days...ok more like 10 :)

It was a great time and I had a lot of fun helping out at the store...although I think I may have been a bad influence but hey, it was a blast :)

Then we just kind of breezed through til now...when my baby came home for r&r after being deployed for over 9mths...YAY...

and then there was some new ink that we got :) yesterday, to be exact...

mine is just a tribal with the kanji for always/forever in the center....I always tell Chris "always n forever" and even though I am still unaware of the proper kanji (got confused with all the different websites and one even said it was the same kanji for both words) that we just stuck "always"...
Chris's is a really nice one. A friend of his, Nathan Watts, drew the design for him. It's a soldier sitting on a bullet ridden brick wall looking down at the ground with an angel with one of her wings around him and her head on his knee weeping. This was his 8th tattoo and he said this one hurt the worse but he is soooo happy with it...the pics aren't the greatest, once the redness goes away hopefully I can get better pics, but it turned out really really nice...

but that's about it for now...it's only taken me about 4 hours just to type this :)
I'll upload more pictures later...

I guess it's time for an update

Although I really don't anything to ramble on about today :) WOW! Me, at a loss for words...imagine that!

Let's see, Hannah's learned how to ride her bike without training wheels...YAY Hannah!!! Okay, so it's been about a month **blushing**

I need to get her a new bike, when I see her riding it I instantly think of a little clown bike! LOL! Maybe we'll go this weekend and pick her up one.

And the funny thing is that picture was taken on Jan 6th and she's in capris and a t-shirt! Gotta love winters in the south!

We went to Kobe's for Valentine's Day and I took
this really cool pic or the fire with Cody in the
background. It's kind of dark but I love the flames :)
But don't even get me started on my new camera.
All I can say is Canon better fix the damn thing!

Let's see, Jacob's finally getting some meat on his bones. For the longest time this child was skinny, like slim size skinny. But he eats and eats and eats. Well he's finally chunkin' up and I think it's adorable ;) I haven't seen cheeks on him like that since he was a baby!

I know he can really test my nerves but he really is a sweet boy. Besides, I'm sure I test his nerves, too.

Here's a cute picture...Chris would be so mad if he knew I posted this so sshhh....His mom came down and it just happened to be her birthday so Chris and Hannah decided they were going to bake her a cake. He read on the box that you can add pudding to it so he added powder, not "made" pudding. It didn't hold up that good but it did taste great. A little sweet. Okay A LOT sweet but it's the thought that counts, huh? Who would have ever thought Chris would actually bake and decorate a cake? LOL!! He's such a great guy, I'm so lucky!

And finally, here's an updated pic of my mug. I chopped my hair off into a bob. It's a lot easier to take care of, feels a lot

lighter and I don't shed as much! Funny how that is, huh?

So there you have it. I've updated my blog, too bad it was mainly pictures ;) I guess I'm good to go for another month or so now!

Another year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Since I was nagged and told my blog needed to be updated, I guess I'll bore you with some pics from last night ;) We didn't have anything fancy, just some friends over!

This is Chris and Todd enjoying some munchies and some apple martinis. Why are men so silly? You would have thought alcohol was going to be banned tomorrow :) But they had fun and I guess that's all that matters, huh?

This was a blast. Watching the girls play the boys in Cranium. Especially when two from the "boys" team were about 10 sheets to the wind...

Of course, these are the two that were 10 sheets to the wind. They were attempting to draw a picture. I think they were cheating but the cut throat girls let them be ;) I think Chris was supposed to be holding the pencil and Todd's hand over Chris's while Todd drew.

Everyone had a great time! And I kept telling Chris he needed to slow down or he would never make it past 10:00, let's just say he wasn't awake at midnight....ROFLMAO!

So there you have it, I updated my blog! I will try and do better at updating it in 2007! Heaven knows I'll have a lot of time on my hands...

I hope everyone's 2007 is a happy one!

He REALLY can sing

Since he has seemed to scare some of the girls on Scrap Addict :) ;) I figured I would post this and show that he really CAN sing :)
